Final ode to summer.

Oh man, did I have a great summer. It wasn't perfect, but that's alright. You know those over romanticized, teenagerish summers you read about in books? It was kind of like that. I didn't go anywhere that exotic, but there was romance and adventure~lots and lots of quirky adventures. It was one of those perpetually-laughing-while-driving-at-sunset-to-a-teenage-soundtrack kind of summers. Always with great people, lotsss of lake time, a few mini road trips. Plus I worked a lot, so you know, character was built and lessons learned, ect. So I wanted to celebrate this (seriously, it was so great) summer I had with a few more colorful pieces, before we're completely swamped with fall neutrals.

Scarf, $1.99 Charlotte Russe (Steal!!! Here's a tip: this was on a sale rack even though it actually WASN'T on sale, it'd been mislabled. But when the cashier rung me up for $8, I said "Oh! The sign said $1.99...it was in the sale area right over there..." and she gave it to me on sale anyway. :) So if that ever happens to you, always mention the fact the sign said it was cheaper. If you're polite and they're really nice, you could save some cash. Its happened to me 3 times now.)
 Tank, $15.80 F21

 Headbands, $2 PacSun

Bracelets (& up close of headbands) :

They're all homemade, or can be found at F21 or Charlotte Russe for around 2 bucks. I adore piles of really colorful "craft like" bracelets. My dear friends Sally and Victoria mad me the striped ones directly above.

And a new dress!!

It was kind of a splurge in my book, $37 from Traveling Chic Boutique ( a local boutique), but they buy directly from designers in New york, and only 1 or 2 of each thing, so no one else will have this. Plus, it's really freaking cute. And versatile! I can give it all kinds of different looks for different seasons, such as this:

Prep school sort of look with a cardigan in the fall, and in the winter I can add leggings and chic boots. I think I'll wear it tomorrow, for my last first day of school. With my new bunny necklace (will post later) and Enzo loafers and new bag...yes, that will be nice.
AH.
Tomorrow, I start senior year. OH MY. Ha, I'm looking forward to my theater and art classes so so much, as well as track season. AP Government and English Lit? AP Statistics? Not so much. I need a "theme" for my art concentrations I'm going to do~we have to pick a theme all our art pieces are centered around. Last year I did "medical objects", and it featured pieces such as a girl leaping from crutches into the sky, and an eye with an elaborate system of surgical needles hovering directly over it. A lot of people do generic ones such as "animals" or "the human figure". I might do "travel" or "flight", and do lots of things with wings or maps, ect. Im open to any creative suggestions!
